We were proud to receive the excellent news that one of the first graduates of the Anglophone Literatures and Cultures program, Mgr. Lucia Slováková has been accepted for a 3-year PhD programme at National Sun Yat-sen University in Taiwan. In her own words, Lucia applied for the study based on an invitation she found in our university mail, where the scholarships for PhD students from Slovakia were offerred. Thus, from the spring semester, she will study at the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature in the PhD programme focusing on Anglophone literature. In her dissertation research, she will analyze the works of Kazuo Ishiguro. We congratulate Lucia from the bottom of our hearts and wish her much success, many professional experiences and wonderful personal experiences.
