Metropolitan University Prague does not provide students with accommodation. During their studies at MUP, exchange students usually stay at private student residences (dormitories) located in the vicinity of the university buildings or in areas easily accessible by public transport. Other options include renting a studio or a room in dormitories of Prague public universities, or sharing an apartment together with other students.
Private Student Residences / Hotels Providing Long‑term Stays (Dormitory Style)
Botic Student House

New student residence building (opened 2 years ago) offers accommodation exclusively to students. Rooms have private bathroom and toilet and are fully furnished, including: beds, wardrobes, tables, containers, lamps, electric kettle, and fridge. Shared kitchen with cooker and microwave oven is situated on each floor. Good location, not far from the city centre.
Price per month and person (including utilities, internet and regular bed linen change):
- Single room: 9577 CZK (small) / 10614 CZK (large)
- Double room: 7381 CZK
- Two double room (2 + 2): 7381 CZK
Transport to MUP main building in Strašnice: 10 minutes by tram + 5 minutes on foot.

DC Rezidence

Recently renovated colourful rooms are equipped with fridge, beds with pillow and duvet, desks, chairs, mirror, wardrobe. Private bathroom and toilet is in each room and shared kitchen is situated on each floor. Washing machines and dryers are available in laundry room. Restaurant, well‑known burger bar, canteen, wellness and fitness centre, parking, etc. are part of the complex.
Price per month and room (including utilities, internet and regular bed linen change):
- Single room: 6900 CZK / 7500 CZK
- Double room: 8100 CZK / 11100 CZK
Transport to MUP main building in Strašnice: 35 minutes by bus and metro + 5 minutes on foot.

Hotel Střížkov

Accommodation for those who do not expect luxurious accommodation. Modest rooms are equipped with beds, desks, chairs, shelves and wardrobes. Each room has a separate bathroom, toilet and fridge. Shared kitchen is situated on each floor and you can find there basic appliances as fridge, freezer, cooker, microwave oven, kettle. For a small fee you can use the washing machine.
Internet is provided via the LAN cable connection for a fee of 330 CZK/month. There is a possibility of using the cafeteria for lunches and dinners.

- Single room: 8500 CZK
- Double room: 5200 CZK
Transport to MUP main building in Strašnice: 30 minutes by bus. Transport to MUP building in Jarov: 15 minutes by bus. Transport to MUP building in Žižkov: 25 minutes by bus.

If you are asked to send a deposit to secure your reservation before you see the apartment or sign a lease, try to collect as much information as you can about the owner (or person who rents it) and the property before sending money anywhere. If anything seems to you suspicious, better choose another flat to avoid getting scammed.
