FUZZY DEDUCTIVE DATABASES BASED ON RESOLUTION PRINCIPLE

Abstract: The article presents the possibilities of usage of the resolution principle for Fuzzy Predicate Logic with Evaluated Syntax as theoretical and inference background for fuzzy deductive databases. We start on explaining the problem of the classical deductive databases, further describing possibilities of fuzzyfication of deductive database on the mentioned fuzzy logic. The key part shows how to utilize resolution principle as an inference engine of the fuzzy deductive database together with some efficient resolution strategies devised originally for the refutational resolution theorem proving system for FPL.

Abstract: In [9] Híc and Pokorný described the method which helped them to find four integral trees of diameter 7. These trees were the first known integral trees of diameter 7. The method was based on joining the centres of two integral trees of diameter 3 by an edge. In this paper we explain that similar method could not be used to find an integral tree of diameter 9.

Abstract: In educational psychology there are many different strategies aimed at determining mathematical giftedness. It is necessary to combine them with the methods bound to mathematical tasks of certain type. The identification and education of the mathematical talented children are main area of our researches.

Abstract: Curriculum of Mathematics for elementary school is open for inclusion of combinatorics. Combinatory tasks need not necessarily appear only as a thematic part of Combinatorics unit. There are also options in other units for implementation of combinatorics respecting the elements of task-solving processes formulated by the author.

Abstract: The contribution shows an illustration of didactical use of intuition in an attempt to list all types of deltahedra. It shows how intuition helps to solve the problem and how it can be misleading. We use elements of manipulative geometry in the activity.
